Adele to star in The Secret Service?
Singer Adele has said to be landed a cameo role of a baddie in Matthew Vaughn’s new spy film The Secret Service.
The 25-year-old, who was in the past involved in the award winning runaway success Skyfall, will join the likes of David Beckham and Sir Elton John in an by now star-studded cast, reported Sun Online.
“Adele is just what Matthew is looking for. He wants the highest profile names in various fields to boost the film’s cause and turn it into a mega money series. You can’t get much bigger than Adele in music, which is why he’s so keen to get her involved. Adele’ll be great value on the big screen,” a source said.
A spokesman for Adele has refused to comment on the news. The movie, which is based on a spy graphic novel by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, stars Colin Firth and Michael Caine as super agents dealing with a team of villains headed by Samuel L Jackson.
